Cedric Mullins Blasts Grand Slam in Orioles Win

Baltimore Orioles 11, St. Louis Cardinals 5

Cedric Mullins hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to propel the Baltimore Orioles to an 11-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night. The Orioles have now won four of their last five games and are 5-5 in their last 10.

Mullins' grand slam was his second of the season and gave the Orioles a 7-1 lead. The Orioles added four more runs in the sixth inning, including a two-run double by Anthony Santander, to extend their lead to 11-1.

The Cardinals rallied for four runs in the seventh inning off Orioles reliever Dillon Tate, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Orioles' early lead. Giovanny Gallegos pitched a scoreless eighth inning and Felix Bautista closed out the game in the ninth to earn his 20th save of the season.

Orioles starter Dean Kremer allowed one run on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five batters and improved his record to 10-10.

Cardinals starter Jordan Hicks took the loss, allowing seven runs on eight hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out four batters and dropped to 10-12.

The Orioles will face the Cardinals again on Tuesday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Jordan Montgomery (7-11, 4.37 ERA) will start for the Cardinals, while Austin Voth (13-10, 4.34 ERA) will start for the Orioles.
