Offside controversy as Tottenham snatch late draw at Manchester City
City's unbeaten run ended in dramatic fashion
Manchester City's 15-match unbeaten run was ended in dramatic fashion as Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to snatch a 3-3 draw at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
City looked on course for victory after Erling Haaland's double put them 2-0 up, but Tottenham hit back with goals from Dejan Kulusevski, Emerson Royal and a controversial equaliser from Harry Kane.
Kane's goal was initially ruled out for offside, but the decision was overturned after a VAR review. Replays showed that Kane was level with the last defender when the ball was played, but some pundits argued that he was offside in the buildup to the move.
The draw means that City remain top of the Premier League table, but they now have just a one-point advantage over Tottenham. Arsenal, who beat Liverpool 3-2 earlier on Saturday, are now just two points behind the defending champions.
