Indiana Fever Defeat Atlanta Dream in Season Opener

Clark Shines in Debut

Indiana Fever 83, Atlanta Dream 80

In her regular season debut for the Indiana Fever Tuesday night, No. 1 overall WNBA draft pick Caitlin Clark lived up to the hype, leading her team to an 83-80 victory over the Atlanta Dream.

Clark finished with a team-high 21 points, including five three-pointers, and added three assists. She also played a key role in the Fever's defense, recording two steals and a block.

The Fever got off to a slow start, trailing by 10 points at the end of the first quarter. However, they chipped away at the lead in the second quarter and took a one-point lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Fever continued to play aggressively and extended their lead to seven points in the third quarter. The Dream fought back in the fourth quarter, but Clark and her teammates held on for the victory.

The win is a promising start for the Fever, who are hoping to make a playoff run this season. Clark is a major part of their plans, and her performance in her debut is a sign that she is ready to lead the team to success.

The Fever will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Chicago Sky. The game will be televised on ESPN.
